Can Donald Trump win the 2024 US elections?

It’s hard to believe that it’s been four years since Donald Trump was elected president of the United States. Time flies, doesn’t it? But with the end of his first term approaching, many people are already looking ahead to the 2024 election and wondering if Trump will run again. After all, he has hinted that he might. So, can Trump win in 2024? Let’s take a look at the odds.
The Odds Are Stacked Against Him
There are a few reasons why Trump is unlikely to win the 2024 election. First of all, history is not on his side. No incumbent president has been elected to a second term since George H. W. Bush in 1988. That’s a pretty big strike against Trump right off the bat.
In addition, Trump will be 78 years old in 2024, which makes him one of the oldest presidents ever to seek re-election. And while age isn’t necessarily a deterrent for voters (see: Bernie Sanders), it could be a factor in this case given Trump’s well-publicized health issues, including his hospitalization for COVID-19 earlier this year.
Finally, Trump is currently facing an impeachment trial in the Senate, which could further damage his chances of winning re-election. Even if he is acquitted, as seems likely given that Republicans have a majority in the Senate, the mere fact that he is being tried for impeachment will turn off some voters.
All of these factors make it seem unlikely that Trump will be able to win re-election in 2024. However, stranger things have happened, so we’ll just have to wait and see what happens.
Only time will tell whether or not Donald Trump will be able to win re-election in 2024. However, based on historical precedent and current circumstances, it seems like an uphill battle for him.
